“A ripping yarn” – Simon Langley-Evans
When a New Year’s Eve art theft spirals into chaos amid Tokyo’s neon-drenched streets-screeching sirens and the acrid tang of gunpowder thick in the air-detective Ai Nishihara barely escapes with her life and a stolen Hokusai masterpiece. She’s been reclaiming Japan’s cultural treasures from the Yakuza for years. Alone. Outside the law.
British investigator Noah Davies arrives in Tokyo on what should be a routine assignment. Instead, he’s partnered with a detective who breaks every rule and targeted by assassins from the moment he lands. As they hunt the Kurohana Group’s art trafficking operation, they discover a mole in their department and a crime boss who will kill anyone who threatens his collection.
With nowhere to turn and no one to trust, Ai and Noah must take down an empire-or become its next victims.
For readers who love Tokyo noir, art heist thrillers, and impossible odds… TSUNAMI is the first in a planned series following Ai and Noah as they pursue stolen art across the globe.
