BISAC: Action & Adventure – General
Evan and Claire Jones are typical teenagers, forced to join their parents on yet another “Family Fun Day” at the local museum. They expect a day of boredom, but everything changes when they follow a strange creature into a restricted exhibit and discover the Serpent’s Ring-a magical Relic from the Land of the Gods. By pure accident, they awaken the Ring’s ancient power, tearing open a portal to Asgard.
Before the siblings can process what has happened, a pterodactyl-size sun conure wrenches the Ring from Evan’s hand and flees, delivering it straight to the Norse god of the sea. Now, Evan and Claire must join forces with a band of unlikely heroes to retrieve the artifact. They are in a race against time; if they fail to recover the Serpent’s Ring, the sea god will use its immense power to flood every land on Earth.
For readers of upper middle-grade fantasy stories.
