Sinking and degradation do not happen in an instant; rather, under a slow tug and pulled by desire, one gradually walks into a bottomless abyss. This book is a novel. Guan Fanfu worked at a provincial television station for more than two years, always achieving nothing. His college classmate Lao Ding calls from a country in Southeast Asia, inviting him to become a partner in a matchmaking company and seek development together. Guan Fanfu and Lao Ding operate in gray areas, dig up their first pot of gold, and thereafter go further and further down the evil path of fraud and deception, with the cross-border matchmaking business growing ever larger. Yang Xiaoxuan, the sister of local underworld boss Yang Fan, takes a liking to Guan Fanfu, and after several setbacks the two become husband and wife. Under the protection of Yang Fan’s forces, Guan Fanfu and his younger brother Guan Suzi expand the matchmaking business’s market, unscrupulously making dirty money, causing some families to lose both people and wealth, and even to be broken and destroyed. Public security departments receive more and more fraud cases involving foreign brides running away, and the source of the cases ultimately points to Tianqiao Matchmaking Company. The police of the two countries carry out a joint operation, arresting the organized criminal forces led by the Guan brothers and local underworld leader Yang Fan. All those involved in the crimes are captured, and the “Tianqiao system” finally comes to an end under the afterglow of the setting sun. At this point, a cross-border matchmaking fraud chain lasting as long as nine years is completely destroyed. “”9
