I love Pat Simmons and her ability to repeatedly write meaningful stories. She is a sentimental romance writer who pays close attention to the details of her characters’ voices. By the end of the story, you feel like you know these folks. Candace had some fears and issues to overcome as residual emotions from her previous marriage. But when her future husband found her, he laid his cards out on the table. No gimmicks. No games. I respect Pat’s mature approach to love, faith, and relationships. At the end of the day, there is always a nugget of a message to take away from her message.
