This project examines the resurgence of satire through contemporary painting within the framework of altermodernity. Grounded in the humanist principles of equality and equity, it explores satire as a universal and relational language shaped by the contemporary media environment. The research develops methodological frameworks for understanding the nature, function, and significance of satire, focusing not only on its potential to influence opinions but also on how individuals use and experience satire in times of social dysfunction and uncertainty. By positioning altermodernism in contrast to postmodern relativism, the project considers painting as a means of engaging with disrupted identities, conflicting ideologies, and the conditions of permanent crisis that characterize contemporary society.
