BISAC: Animals – Birds
Kiwi the monk parakeet lives a pretty great life with his mom and dad in Grandma Birdie’s backyard, splashing in their birdbath and munching on berries whenever they please. But the mood changes when Little Birdie, her granddaughter, appears on the porch steps, suitcase in hand and not a smile in sight.
When a wild winter storm blows through Austin, Kiwi is swept from his tree and separated from his parents. As the storm rattles the windows, a bird and a kid feeling lost find themselves together in the coziest kind of chaos. Sandra LJ shows heart in a story about unexpected storms, waiting through the hard parts, and the joy of reunion.
