Description
A summer vacation to Cape Cod is supposed to be a chance for Detective Ronan O’Mara to unwind. His first stop is the Whydah Pirate Museum in Yarmouth, where the recovered treasure of the infamous pirate ship sparks his imagination.
But while Ronan is admiring gold, silver, and priceless artifacts, his daughter, Everly, makes an extraordinary discovery aboard the museum’s replica ship; the restless spirit of Captain “Black Sam” Bellamy, still searching for the life that was stolen from him when the Whydah sank in 1717.
Meanwhile, psychic Tennyson Grimm encounters a mysterious woman wandering the shoreline. Dressed in widows black, Maria has spent three centuries watching the sea, convinced her husband, Sam, will one day return.
As Tennyson and Everly work to reunite two lovers separated by three centuries, they uncover a tragedy that refuses to stay buried. Because some treasures are cursed, some promises never die, and the ghosts of the Whydah have no intention of letting Captain Bellamy go.
