Meg is an exhausted single mum, a star teacher and a writer whose literary dreams have faded. She has overcome the death of her brother to stand on the verge of becoming an assistant principal at a brand-new school.
But as her old school is farewelled and life at a shiny new campus awaits, Meg collapses into the summer holidays overwhelmed. Seeking relief from recurring grief and the weight of responsibility, she brings her writing desk back in from the garage and sits down each morning to journal her thoughts.
Over the course of six weeks of turbulent but treasured school holidays, Meg rediscovers a love of writing – as art, therapy and fun – helping her forge her way through the fog.
