BISAC: Religion – Bible Stories – Old Testament
Daniel serves in the court of King Cyrus, but while the king and the people of Babylon worship Bel, Daniel remains faithful to the living God. When Daniel challenges the belief that the idol Bel can eat and drink, he must prove that things inside the temple are not what they seem. But exposing the truth about Bel is only the beginning. Daniel soon faces another creature worshipped by the people of Babylon: a great dragon.
His refusal to abandon his faith eventually places Daniel in grave danger and leads him once again to the lions’ den. Through courage, wisdom, and unwavering faith, Daniel discovers that even in the most dangerous circumstances, God has not forgotten him.
Colorfully illustrated and based on the ancient story of Bel and the Dragon, this book introduces young readers to a lesser-known adventure of Daniel while exploring faith, courage, truth, and standing firm in what you believe.
