Who really was to blame for the Fall of Man? Why did Aaron build the golden calf? How did Bathsheba explain her adultery to her friends? What was it like to be there when Jesus fed 4,000 people with just a little bread and fish? These questions and many more are explored in It was the tree’s fault, a collection of monologues written by Sam Lenton. Each monologue brings a new perspective on a Biblical character or event, looking afresh at what the Bible does and doesn’t reveal to us. Many have been used effectively in church services and special events to entertain, encourage and enlighten audiences of all ages, and every monologue compiled in this collection comes with performance notes to suggest how they might be performed to suit a variety of situations. This is the perfect resource for churches of any denomination and the collection is an enjoyable and challenging read for individuals of all ages. Each monologue comes with study questions for personal devotions and group discussion.
