The poems and quotes in this collection realize the parallels between the states of coming to be and of ceasing to be as currently known and understood. How every ending is indeed a beginning, and every beginning, an ending in and of itself. The writing within seeks not to solve the dilemma of grief, nor to understand it, or wrap it neatly in a bow. Instead, it seeks to sit with it and explore it from as many different angles as possible. To end up at the same conclusion: that this is what we are. This is what we’ve always been. How can we make the best of that?
